Hear an interesting speaker about the Honolulu Advertiser’s “Today’s Thought.” The daily inspirational article was printed in the Honolulu Advertiser from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. The article was not religious, racial, or age oriented. It was for everyone. His biography is noted below: * Born in Wilcox Hospital, Lihue, Kauai in 1941. * Parents Rev and Mrs Paul Osumi * Older brother Paul Jr. an architect in Honolulu. * Married with two children and three grandchildren. * Raised in Waialua and Ewa Sugar Plantations and Nu'uanu Valley. * Attended and graduated from University High School and the University of Hawaii In Business Administration. * Worked in the banking industry in Hawaii that included First Hawaiian Bank, service bureau company called Southeast Computer Associates, Bank of Hawaii and Central Pacific Bank. Responsibilities were in the technology area for 39 years. Last position held was Computer Center Manager at Central Pacific Bank * Retired in 2003 from Central Pacific Bank. * After retiring, authored and published a book titled "Today's Thought - Rev Paul Osumi: the Man and His Message" * Presently, speaking at various retirement facilities, senior clubs, special interest groups, Rotary/Lions/Kiwanis Clubs, churches and libraries.
