  Prior to joining the University\, he served as the Director of Real Estat
 e for the Lili‘uokalani Trust from 2015 to 2021.  He also previously wo
 rked for Stanford Carr Development and PBR Hawaii.  Shibata holds Bachelo
 r degrees in Economics and Political Science\, and a Master of Business Ad
 ministration from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
