WHR:  FHS' A Message WHR; FHS' A Message of Hope Program; May 2, 2020

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Thanks to all of you who participated in our Club’s support of Farrington High School’s Message of Hope Program.  For some strange reasons, I previously called it FHS’ “CARE Program” by mistake.  It must have been because I got stuck thinking about the recent passing of the CARE Act by the U.S. Congress to provide financial help to business affected by COVID-19.  In any event, I would like to thank the following members who contributed by either donating goods, money or their time:

Naomi Masuno

Kahu Vaughn

Wes Fong

Glen Suzuki

Thomas Jansson

Gayle Lau

Zane Jansson

Cleigh Pang

Aimee Doud

Elvira Lo

Terry Lo

Manny Augusta

Stan Wong

Derek Tenn

Matt Wong

Doug Yee

Thanks to you, our Club was able to donate several boxes worth of goods and $400 in cash.

I have been informed that FHS intends to do another similar project by the end of this month. If our Club decides to join FHS for a second time, I now that I can count on you to contribute once more to those families who have been hard-hit by the Government shut-down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

FHS Project Coordinator Cindy Werkmeister receiving donated goods from WHR

Aloha,

Richard A. Ing
