We will be putting together these baskets on site and need helping hands to make this a success! Please see the flyer attached for more information and review and complete the volunteer waiver to participate! Please bring your waiver form with you to the house.
Rotarians, significant others, and prospective members are welcome to attend this Membership Event. All five clubs in the Downtown Oahu area: RC Honolulu Sunrise, RC Metropolitan Honolulu, RC Honolulu Pau Hana, RC Downtown Honolulu, & RC West Honolulu will be participating in this event. Each club will be bringing our own food and drinks. Enjoy music, fun, food, and fellowship with other rotarians and people interested in Rotary.
Our club will be coordinating a themed potluck. Further information will follow. Please sign up if you will be attending and who you will be bringing. What a better time to invite a friend or acquaintance to get to know about Rotary, the people, and the differences between a group of clubs.
Since Rotary and its partners launched the Global Polio Eradication Initiative 30 years ago, the incidence of polio has plummeted by more than 99.9 percent, from about 350,000 cases a year to just 22 cases in 2017. To sustain this progress, and protect all children from polio, Rotary has committed to raising US$50 million per year in support of global polio eradication efforts. Without full funding and political commitment, this paralyzing disease could return to previously polio-free countries, putting children everywhere at risk.
Your donation helps Rotary and its partners reach every child with the polio vaccine. Thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, your contribution will be tripled, getting us even closer to a polio-free world.

I know you've attended our sister club anniversaries in the past or showed some interest, so here's some information about the Makati West 50th anniversary. I received tentative dates for their 50th anniversary from Past President Jay Tambunting. Their welcome dinner will be on November 22 and the 50th Anniversary Ball will be on November 23.
Five years ago they held their 45th anniversary in August, but the reason it was held in August was to accommodate then RI President Gary Huang's schedule.
Hope you can all join me in Makati in November 2019!
