Since 1957, the Rotary Club of West Honolulu annually recognized a leader of Hawaiian ancestry who has made a difference in Hawaii; someone whose accomplishments have epitomized the idea of high achievement in such fields as art, music, dance, education, science, government, religion, business or sports. On November 15, 2024, we honored Henry Kapono as our 68th recipient of this prestigious award. Henry is a performer who has it all – vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, composer, audience favorite—and multiple honors and awards, including a Grammy nomination.
