On Sunday, October 23, join us for a family fun way to celebrate World Polio Day.  World Polio Day is celebrated each year on October 24th to commemorate Dr. Jonas Salk's birthday and raise awareness for polio vaccination and eradication. Dr. Salk develop the polio vaccine. When child receives the polio vaccine in certain countries, the volunteer worker paints the nail on the child’s little finger purple so that other Polio Plus workers will know that this child has already been given the vaccine. 
 
When:  Sunday, October 23, 11am to 2pm. 
Where: Kewalo Channel Park on Kelikoi Street (Diagonally across the Hawaii Discovery Children's Center)
 
Bring your own lunch or purchase a bento. Picnic games and Root beer floats. All in the fun! Visit the Children's Discovery Center for $8 pp.
