Sharing with you, on March 20, 2025, West Honolulu Rotary Club members, Elvira Lo, Betty Brow, Gordon and Lana Au, when back to the Hong Linh Disabled Children Center in central Vietnam, with total donation of $9000 from their own heart to help the Disable Orphanage to furnish the new dormitory, with new enrollment to 170 boarding students, an increase of 110 kids and 100 day school students total of 270 students. Back in 2023, WHR got $10,000 funding from the Club and Foundation to purchase $10,000 supply, food and medicine, uniform etc. as the International Service Project and 11 of our Rotarians visited the school that year. Also 2024 Mar., Betty Brow, Gordon and Lana Au, donated $6000 on their own to the school to help to build additional dormitory which completed late last year.

On Saturday 3/29, was the Rotary Foundation Dinner, at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, RI Trustee-Elect Vicki Puliz will emphasize the "Why” in giving to Rotary for the great work we do.

Tentative Schedule:
7am breakfast followed by instructions
8am report to assigned rooms
8:30 session 1; 10:00 session 2
Students in grades 3 through 5 participate in categories of choral reading,
group interpretation, oral interpretive reading, poetry, storytelling; all noncompetitive events.
11:15 Awards Assembly
For a bunch of years, West Honolulu Rotarians have actively participated as speech festival judges. Your participation would be greatly appreciated again. Please contact Grace Fujiyoshi if you are able to be a judge. This is a very rewarding community service project.
