Hello Pres Cleigh and West Honolulu Rotary-
I will be traveling to Tokyo next week and visiting Tokyo West Rotary Club on Nov 21, Friday. Our Rotary friend, Miki Yajima, will not be at this Tokyo club meeting, but I will see him the day before 11/20. Miki will not be attending his Rotary Club meeting because.....
He will be awarded: the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, and will have an audience with His Majesty the Emperor at the Imperial Palace on November 21st. If our club members can sign a virtual card or send him some congratulations that would be great!
For those who don’t know Miki, he was a dual member of West Honolulu Rotary and Tokyo West for many years. He was our translator at the 75th anniversary Elks Club nite. He used to own the gas station on the corner of Keeaumoku and King.
