Like in years past, WHR members have generously given of their time to serve as volunteer judges for the annual DOE Honolulu School District noncompetitive speech festival. Kids in grades 3 to 5 participate in various categories such as choral reading, poetry, interpretative reading, etc. This spring event will be held on Saturday, April 25, McKinley High, 7A (breakfast/instructions) to 10:30 followed by an awards ceremony.

Richard A. J. H. Ing is a Hawaii licensed attorney with the law firm of Ogawa, Lau, Nakamura & Jew, Attorneys at Law, a Law Corporation, where he has practiced law since 1993, a year after being licensed in 1992. He is “Rough Rider” having graduated from Punahou’s West Campus – Roosevelt High School, and attended the University Hawaii at Manoa where he graduated with a BBA in Business Administration before going to Syracuse College of Law in New York. He currently serves as the President of his law firm and focuses his practice in the area of real property law, real-estate transactions, litigation, condominium law, commercial litigation, estate planning and wills and trust litigation. He is a father to twins who were born 3 years after joining WHR and the husband of his college sweetheart, Dana (pronounced “Donna”). He enjoys a variety of activities from paddling, biking, swimming, building computers, fixing cars, weight lifting, golfing and is a firearms enthusiast, owning nearly 30 rifles and pistols.
