I have just received an update from the Tokyo West Rotary Club, shared by one of their members. The WHR members who attended included Glenn and Annette Wachi, Glen and Shana Suzuki, Trista and family, Elvira, Naomi, and Dean, totaling nine people. Since we only have one meeting in February by Naomi, even though many of you have already established good relationships with them, I still wanted to share these details with you. See following: 14 March, 2025 Dear Sister Club Goodwill Committee Members, Sister Club Committee Members, and members of the Tokyo West Rotary Club, Greetings. As the chill of early spring gradually eases, I hope this letter finds everyone in good health and spirits. We plan to welcome many members from the Sister Club to the 70th-anniversary celebration. We would like to request the assistance of the members of the Goodwill Committee and the Sister Club Committee in attending the excursion scheduled on May 23rd. Please note that if the number of participants exceeds the capacity of the boat, priority will be given to the Sister Club members, and we may have to decline some requests. Details: Excursion (Tokyo Bay Lunch Cruise) Date: May 23, 2025 (Friday) Schedule: Departure from The Okura Tokyo: 10:30 AM Boarding: 11:15 AM Departure: 11:30 AM Return: 1:30 PM Arrival at The Okura Tokyo: 2:00 PM Fee: Covered by the club Please note that the restroom on the boat is accessed via narrow and steep stairs, which may be inconvenient for those with mobility issues. During the time leading up to the ceremony, Sister Club members can spend their time at the "Lune" on the 41st floor of the Prestige Tower of The Okura Tokyo.
