January 7th-Speaker : Jana Stern, HPU
   Jana Stern is the Director of Graduate Admissions and Admissions Operations at Hawai'i Pacific University. Jana leads Graduate Admissions on strategic and operational activities, focusing on nurturing cross education - industry alliances and partnerships, creating new access for working professionals to pursue their educational goals while working to advance their career.    Prior to joining HPU in 2020, Jana was the Director of the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. School of Business’s Graduate Programs Office at University of Missouri-Columbia. She has 20 years of experience in higher education from five universities in five U. S. time zones, primarily working on collaborations that bridge business and education. She is a returning home again Hawaiian and graduate of the Kamehameha Schools, Kapālama campus.
   Jana holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Western Washington University and an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Jana Stern will highlight the topic of – How our world of work is changing and some upcoming vocations that are expanding or lacking qualified workers in Hawai'i. – How HPU is partnering with select companies and organizations in Hawaii to lower the cost of tuition and launching new degree programs to meet the demand of an ever-changing workforce.

Menu: Minced Beef Soup with Chinese Parsley, Roasted Peking Duck, Lobster - Garlic Butter on a Bed of E Mein Noodle, Sauteed Duck meat with Julienned Peppers, Braised Pork Rib in Chef's Special Sauce with Buns, Braised Black Mushroom w/Shanghai Pak Choy, Steamed Rice, Dessert of the Day.
