November 19 Club Meeting
 
Our speaker for Nov 19 at Noon on Zoom will be PDG Laura Steelquist, Past District Foundation Chair, on the Rotary Foundation!

  • Cool Treats for Healthcare Workers
 
Delivery and Date: Wednesday, November 17, 10:30 am* and 11:30 am*
 
*There are two drop-off times.
 
Location: The Queen's Medical Center - West Oahu (91-2141 Fort Weaver Rd, Ewa Beach, HI 96706)
 
Meeting Location: Porte Cochere of The Queen's Medical Center, at the main hospital building in front of the lobby
 
Description: As part of the Rotary Gives Thanks initiative, WHR is teaming up with Keller Williams Realty and Teapresso to deliver 750 drinks (bubble tea, Vietnamese coffee, and strawberry lemonade) and a small snack to send our aloha and mahalo to healthcare heroes at Queen's West Oahu. 
 
Duties: Teapresso will be assisting with the preparation and delivery. WHR members will be asked to assist with unloading the drinks and thank those who assist with taking the drinks back into the hospital. We'd like to take a quick photo to commemorate the gift. Each delivery shouldn't take longer than 30-45 minutes long.

  • Thanksgiving Pies for Pacific Gateway Center
 
Delivery and Date: Wednesday, November 24, 5:00 p.m.
 
*Note: We may try to coordinate packing the pies together beforehand.
 
Location: Pacific Gateway Center (723-C Umi Street)
 
Description: To spread our gratitude during Thanksgiving, we will be donating pumpkin pies (7 pies = 70 slices) to accompany turkey meals for the families and clients served by Pacific Gateway Center.
 
Duties: Purchase pumpkin pie at Costco ($5.99) cut into 10 pieces, individually wrap pieces, deliver to Pacific Gateway Center. If you can only meet at Pacific Gateway Center to help put the pies in the meals, please email me. We'd like to limit this opportunity to approximately 5 Rotarians.
 
 
 
  • Join WHR as it supports the District's commitment to partnering with The Pantry!
 
Project: The Pantry, by Feeding Hawaii Together
 
Description: Support the District in their commitment to partner with The Pantry to help them with providing food to those in need.
 
Date and Time: WHR is supporting the Friday, December 3, 9am-12noon shift
 
*NOTE: If you cannot make this time, there are other shifts available:
  • November 19th – 9 AM to 12 PM
  • December 17th – 12 to 3 PM
  • January 7th – 9 AM to 12 PM
  • February 4th – 9 AM to 12 PM

Duties: "Shop" for orders (grocery store style), run orders, monitor traffic, and/or pack produce
