For the past 10 months, the 75th Anniversary Planning Committee has been working tirelessly planning these events.  We are very excited about reaching the incredible 75th Anniversary Milestone!   We hope all of you can attend as many of these events/activities as possible.  I'm confident you will enjoy meeting our sister club members, or rekindling friendships.

A total of 99 Sister Club Guests are expected to attend from the Rotary Clubs of Makati West, Kyoto West, Hong Kong Island West, Taipei West, Nagoya Airport, Tokyo West.

We all celebrate our Anniversaries every 5 years.  Every Sister Club Member is invited to these Anniversary Celebrations.  You should definitely consider attending at least one if you haven't done so.  The quality and hospitality is mindblowing!  The host club covers the costs of their Anniversary.  Although we can't possibly compete with our Sister Club Anniversaries dollar for dollar, we do our best to have a quality Anniversary Celebration given our club size and resources.  The past 5 years our club put aside $24,000 for our 75th Anniversary.  These funds as well as some generous donations from some club members are not enough to cover the total expenses.  The $250 member Assessment was created to assist with the Anniversary cost.  To make the Assessment as reasonable as possible, our committee made every attempt to cut costs and venues were changed.  The $250 member assessment was included with the Club Dues and was approved by the board.  It is not optional.

All functions will be charged for events for WHR members, spouses, and guests to attend.  The Assessment does not cover these costs.

Sign-up will be available soon on our West Honolulu Sign-Up Sheet.  Please let me know if you have any questions about our 75th Anniversary.

Aloha,
Derek Tenn
