Dear Fellow Rotarians, We have another fantastic opportunity for you to volunteer your services! In 1993, the Hawai‘i State Legislature established Hawai‘i Children and Youth Day (CYD) to recognize the special gifts and potential of keiki (children) and ‘ōpio (youth) and to celebrate their contributions to the community The event is held on the first Sunday of October each year, coinciding with Children and Youth Month. This year's event is scheduled for Sunday, 10/4/26, at the Hawaii State Capital. For more information, please visit: https://hawaiicyd.org/about Our club has volunteered to help the program by providing volunteers to: 1) Packing goodie bags at the Lanakila Senior Center, 1640 Lanakila Avenue on Thursday, 10/1/26 , from 1 - 2:30 p.m., and 2) Distributing goodie bags at the State Capital on October 4, 2026: Shift 1: 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Shift 2: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Shift 3: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. You may volunteer by helping the organization pack goodie bags at Lanakila Multipurpose Center, distribute the goodie bags at the State Capital or both!
