Meal choices are 2 for the $36 cost, which includes a beverage.

The Friday Sept 15th, 1 week before the regular meeting is the absolute deadline to submit your attendance and meal selection.   

Any Changes after the deadline incur an additional $75 charge. 

Dress code: Aloha Attire, no shorts, or slippers. Jeans are allowed on Fridays & Saturdays.. Cell phone use in common areas is not permitted.

Speaker for Sept 15th,  is Eddie Flores - L & L - How to Build a Multi Million Dollar International Fast Food Enterprise  (Meeting via Zoom)

Eddie Flores, Jr. is a distinguished entrepreneur and community philanthropist in Hawaii. He is the founder and CEO of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, a unique restaurant concept with 200 locations worldwide. Eddie was born in Hong Kong to a Filipino father and a Chinese mother and immigrated to America with his family when he was 16. Eddie graduated from the University of Hawai'i with a bachelor's degree and also earned a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Eddie speaks and reads Chinese and has extensive dealings with Chinese in the United States and in China. Prior to starting L&L, Eddie worked as a business broker listing and selling restaurants for many Chinese clients. Eddie worked extensively to plan and facilitate the opening of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue in China and achieved success in 2012 when L&L opened its first store in the province of Guangdong. Eddie is also the 2015 president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Hawaii and previously served on the board of the East West Center.

Community Service Chair Richard announced Due to scheduling issues, the service project to assist the Lanikila Service Project has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 30. Please sign up on the Pali View because we need all of you to participate so we can continue our tradition of assisting the senior center.

 

This past Saturday Grace Fujiyoshi, Richard Ing and friends, Kristi Chun, Jeff Pang, Malissa Pang, Glen Suzuki and few other members, went to this walk for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  DG Mark Merriam is pictured with past DG Roz Cooper. Mark’s wife Kathleen (in red) had a major role in organizing this mental health charity walk this past Sat.
