Farewell to Kyoto Students visiting this summer month of the August. Finally the 2 girls Momoka and Hana from Kyoto Student exchange program depart on Aug 13, Sunday morning, which end their 10 days visit in Honolulu with our fellow members to experience the Hawaiian culture and customs.

Maui Donation Update

Donation of Goods (Richard): A big thank you to Richard for spearheading this program. With everyone's help Richard was able to drop off the following items that was dropped off on Saturday and is on its way to Maui:

Sleeping bags, Inflatable bed, Women’s Cloths, Men’s Clothes, Water bottles, Water, Canned goods (Spam, sausage, beans, corn, honey), Dog Food, Baby Formula, Futon, Bags, Shoes, Jackets, Dried Foods (saimin, pop tarts, nutrigrain), Baby Diapers, Adult Diapers, Pencil/Pens, Steno Note Books.

Monetary Donation to Rotary Club of Lahaina: Thank you everyone that responded, I have received a bunch of emails from our members saying they will be donating to Glenn Wachi. Later this week our foundation (West Honolulu Rotary Foundation) will be having an emergency meeting to discuss what amount we can give from the Foundation. I am very hopeful that the Foundation will be able to do something because this is a perfect example on how we can help our fellow brothers and sisters who are hurting right now.
