Dear Fellow Rotarian, I am pleased to inform you that our Rotary Club recently donated $2,750 in grant funds to Likelike Elementary and Kalihi Uka Elementary Schools for student and teacher school supplies. I and a few other Rotarians are planning to meet Kalihi Uka's Principal, Derek Santos, at Fisher Hawaii (690 Pohukaina Street, Kakaako) on Wednesday, June 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. to purchase school supplies and to take photos for our Club. Naomi intends to submit the photos to Midweek for publication so there is a possibility that some of the photos may make it to print. I am extending an invitation to all Club members to join me and Principal Santos as Fisher Hawaii on June 25 as Principal Santos shops for school supplies and poses for photos. Next Friday June 28 Friday is Dark, June 29, is the Club installation Lunch at Hale Ikena. July 12 meeting will have a picture slide show for the Hong Kong Island West 70th Anniversary, for those who went and if you want to share your experience, please join us at this lunch meeting. |
