Happy New Year!  The Rotary theme for this year is "The Magic of Rotary" with Stephanie Urchick as the Rotary President from Pennsylvania USA, Ted Faigle as District Governor from the Rotary Club of Poipu Beach on Kauai, Assistant Governor Nathan Kam from the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu.  We have an exciting year with the 64th David Malo Banquet coming up on November 15th and possibly 4 Sister Club anniversaries.  So far, we know of Nagoya Airport's 50th, October 6-8 and Taipei West's 70th, March 18 and Tokyo West's 70th on May 22-23, 2025.  Makati West has a 55th anniversary in November, but we haven't heard from them yet. This year, the Club Presidency is being shared by Glen Suzuki, Stan Wong, Wes Fong and Naomi Masuno.  Next year, Cleigh Pang will lead the Club through our 75 anniversary.

On June 29th, we held our Installation Banquet at Hale Ikena, Fort Shafter.  DGE Ted Faigle did the honors of installing the board and also inducting new members Cindy Rees-Ouchi, sponsored by Bill Loo, and Dwight Amemiya, sponsored by Kevin Sakamoto.  Thank you to Melissa Pang for coordinating the event.

We will resume our signature event David Malo Award Banquet on Nov. 15, 2024 at Waialae Country Club, the planning committee and Chair Richard Ing are working very hard to put together an exciting evening.
