Hong Kong Island West 70th Anniversary 4/11-13
More update on HKIWR 3 days Celebration 4/11-4/13, 14 our members, Elvira Lo, Terry Lo, Betty and James Brow, Gordon and Lana Au, Ron and Sylvia Young, Kevin Sakamoto, Glen Suzuki, Derek Tann, Mike Kato, Jeff Pang, Malissa Pang visited the Museum, the disabled children school and name after their club 45 year ago. The  Hong Kong Island West Rotary Morning Hope School for disabled children on 4/12. Then evening banquet at Island Shangri-La Hotel.  Our club President Glen presents the monetary gift of US$3500.00 to HKIWR president Brian Lee, Elvira Lo our very own PP and International Service Chair donated a check of HK$20,000.00 to HKIWR for their 45 years of sponsoring the school.   Then the 2 clubs had a special dinner (see dishes below) at The Chinese Club (that Elvira is a member) to collaborate the Rotary fellowship.

Dear president Suzuki, I am glad that this season finds you in good health. Nagoya Airport RC, which was founded in 1974, will celebrate its 50th anniversary on July 29th of this year. Behalf of Rotarians I would like to thank you for your guidance and support that our club has been able to grow steadily for half century. Therefore, we would like to hold a 50th anniversary ceremony as bellow 1. Welcome Party… Sunday, October 6, 2024 2. Anniversary … Monday, October 7, 2024 (Golf and activities on the 6th and activities on the 8th… We will update the details as soon as decided) For preparation purpose, we would like to confirm the number of the members how many members will be able to attend golf on 6th October ? also how many members will be able to participate our 50th anniversary ceremony ? Due to the size of the venue, we would like to know as early as possible the number of people who will be able to attend. I would appreciate it if you could reply as soon as possible. Best regards. Kyoto Youth Exchange update 
We have 3 students that are planning to attend the Kyoto Youth Exchange Program this Summer.  Richard Ing's twin, and Christi Chun's second son. 
Ater Kyoto West Rotary Club's meeting on April 8, their sister club chair confirmed us that the visitation date is 7/18-7/30/2024. They are happy and look forward to receive our students.

WHR Meetings -Sign up  and Zoom Links

The annual educational community service project of WHR is the Texaco/DOE Honolulu District Elementary Speech Festival. This year’s event was held on April 13 at McKinley High. Thank you to volunteers Aimee Curre, Wes Fong, Grace Fujiyoshi, Dean Masuno, and Rod Moriyama who judged this noncompetitive event.
 
Our regular meetings are held at The Edge at 31 North Pauahi. We need a head count by Tuesday before the meeting, please sign up on the Google form CLICK HERE.
Address : 31 North Pauahi Street, between Nuuanu and Smith, parking at Municipal lot at 1-35 N Beretania St.  Payment by credit card only.
